Zeenath's Custom Velvet Lehenga. We chatted to the stunner Zeenath about her bridal experience with us and how she made her final decisions on which bridal piece to wear for her perfect day. She opted in for a gorgeous custom made velvet lehenga set by our designer team Rianta. Her bridesmaids wore customised and matching georgette green matching sarees with simple gold blouses.
How did you narrow down what bridal outfit you wanted?
So my husband and I had gone over a bunch of colour options for the wedding events and had just narrowed down a deep purple colour for reception. I contacted Hanin via Instagram and she linked me to the bridal lehenga, and as soon as I saw this lehenga I knew that would be the one! Then I saw a few blouses on the website and picked out something with a fun cut!
With my bridesmaids sarees I wanted something that would compliment my own but still be a bold colour. I told Hanin the colour and fabric that I was after, she sent me a few options and it was love at first site! Then we went onto deciding the blouse colour and fabric, it was such an easy process because everything was customisable.

Why did you choose your final outfit from WaliaJones?
I followed them for a very long time on Instagram and loved everything they did! I kept telling myself that I wanted an outfit from them and the wedding was just the perfect reason. Also I wanted someone who was based in Australia to help me design my reception outfits and basically be the middle man, and WaliaJones was exactly that!
Was it easy to work with WaliaJones and what would you tell other brides considering getting their outfits from us? Absolutely! Hanin was a dream to work with! Kept me posted on every step, sent me photos, consulted with me on any changes and was equally as excited as I was about everything! She took the same approach with my bridesmaids sarees also - sending me different border designs, fabric swatches and multiple blouse options!
I think the main thing is for brides is to come in with an idea but be open to changes and to trust in you guys. I honestly can’t recommend you WaliaJones enough!
What did you love most about your outfit?
The colour and fabric of both my reception lehenga and the bridesmaids sarees! Both fabrics, although completely different, were very high quality. Both outfits had such a beautiful deep colour that looked and felt so luxurious. The embellishments complimented both fabrics so perfectly and allowed the colours to shine!
How was your special day?
Absolutely perfect! We had a sangeet which was full of colour and dance! A traditional Marathi ceremony and a super fun reception! After a year of planning it all came together to create the perfectly magical wedding celebrations!
What tips would you give other brides for choosing their wedding outfits that you found worked for you?
Find something that is fuss free - the last thing you want is an outfit that needs adjusting every 10 seconds when you’ve got enough going on! Also pick something that reflects your style! With Indian clothes it’s easy for them to be very traditional with crazy colours and sequins. For a modern day bride this might not work, so something that reflects who you are, makes you feel beautiful and comfortable is key!
